How to choose the perfect size for your painting?

Choosing the right size for a painting can make a huge difference in the decoration of your spaces. We offer frames with 12, 24, 36 and 48 inch art prints, each size is ideal for a different type of space, here we explain.
Consider the available space:
- Measuring the space: Measure the wall where you plan to hang the painting. It is important to make sure that there is enough space around the painting so that it does not look cramped.
Proportion and Scale:
- Wall Height: Larger paintings of 36 or 48 inches usually look best on tall walls, while smaller walls can benefit from smaller frames of 24 or 12 inches.
- Grouping Paintings: If you prefer several small paintings instead of one large one, make sure that the total group follows the 60-75% rule.
Furniture and surrounding decor:
- Above the furniture: If you're hanging the painting above a piece of furniture (sofa, bed, desk), the width of the painting should be about 2/3 of the width of the piece of furniture.
- Distance from the floor: The center of the painting should be at eye level, usually between 145 and 155 cm from the floor. If the painting is on a piece of furniture, leave a space of 15-25 cm between the top of the furniture and the bottom of the painting.
Personal style and desired effect:
- Focal point: A large 48-inch painting can serve as a focal point in a room, drawing all eyes to it.
- Art gallery: Combining several paintings of different sizes can create a gallery effect, ideal for hallways or large walls. This way you can use all the measurements.
